About:

The Research and Development (R&D) Cell of Gayathri Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) serves as the nucleus for promoting a strong research culture and fostering innovation among faculty members, research scholars, and students. The institute is committed to advancing knowledge through high-quality research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful industry engagement, thereby contributing to societal and technological development.

Objectives

• Establish and strengthen research infrastructure and laboratories.
• Encourage faculty and scholars to publish in Scopus, SCI, and Web of Science indexed journals.
• Promote funded research projects from agencies such as DST, AICTE, UGC, SERB, DRDO, ISRO, and other reputed bodies.
• Support IPR activities, including patents, copyrights, and technology transfer.
• Facilitate consultancy, product development, and start-up initiatives.
• Encourage student participation in research, innovation challenges, and competitions.
